Organized by the SFB 829 and the Rectorate of the University of Cologne this lecture series brings prominent female scientists to Cologne to discuss the role of women in science and society. In general, this series encompasses two talks per lecturer, while the first lecture aims at the biomedical community and the second lecture addresses how gender issues are perceived and how different universities deal with it. The speaker also gives insights into her experience in combining a scientific career with private and family life (work/life balance).
The lectures are open to everybody! We especially encourage young scientists of both genders to attend these lectures.
