The SFB 829 has several PhD Student and Postdoc positions available

4 PhD Student positions (65%, German TV-L E13, m/f) and

3 Postdocs positions (100%, German TV-L E13, m/f)

are available in the SFB 829, funded by the German Research Foundation. The positions, which are available maximum until December 2020, are dedicated to the following projects:

Mario Fabri, Clinic and Polyclinic for Dermatology and Venerology: Vitamin D regulation of the skin innate immune response, 1 PhD student position starting in October 2017.

Matthias Hammerschmidt, Cologne Biocenter: Genetic analysis of epidermal development and homeostasis in zebrafish, 1 PhD student position and 1 Postdoc position available immediately.

Catherin Niemann, Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne (CMMC): Hedgehog-Gli signaling in skin homeostasis and tumor formation, 1 PhD student position available immediately.

Björn Schumacher, Cologne Cluster of Excellence in Cellular Stress Responses in Aging-associated Diseases (CECAD) Research Center: UV-induced DNA damage in photoaging and skin homeostasis, 1 PhD student position or 1 Postdoc position available immediately.

Rudolf Wiesner, Insitute for Vegetative Physiology: Maintenance of mitochondrial integrity in epidermal stem cells, 1 Postdoc position available immediately.

PhD Students and Postdocs participating in the projects of CRC 829 will become members of the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) program, which provides them with the best possible scientific and team environment, guidance, mentoring and teaching.

Applications in English are invited from highly-qualified graduate students and young researchers. Applicants for PhD positions should have a very good MA (or equivalent) in Cell Biology, Biochemistry or Genetics, applicants for a Postdoc position should have an outstanding PhD and publication record relevant for the research foci of the SFB 829.
