Two SFB 829 PIs are awarded with ERC Advanced Grant

The European Research Council (ERC) awarded its highest personal award to two SFB 829 scientists: Professor Jens Brüning, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Metabolic Research and PI of the A5 project and Professor Jan Hoeijmakers, currently member of the International Faculty of the UoC and the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and PI of the B15 project.

The ERC Advanced Grant is awarded to active researchers of significant research achievements of all disciplines. The only criterion is scientific excellence. The Grant supports the awarded researcher’s project for a five-year period with a subsidy of 2,5 Mio euros.
